Course Introduction: This is one of the main reasons behind many problems of the world - the confusion of ideas of Dharma and Religion. Dharma and religion are two very different concepts. Dharma is just a simple system to control basic human social life. Dharma is a way of life. The existence of God is not necessary in the concept of Dharma. Dharma does not discuss about God, about life after death, about the calculation of sin and virtue. Dharma says that all the living beings on earth should cooperate with each other, respect the existence of all, protect the freedom of all and live their life with happiness, peace and contentment. Everyone has the right to increase in his abilities and opulence, but it is not acceptable to sacrifice anyone else for Dharma. The views of the religion differ from this. Abrahamic and Semitic religions believe in monotheism, that is, the existence of only one God, one book and one Prophet. Except these, the rest of the human beings do not have the right to live on earth; such are their thoughts. Due to this an atmosphere of war, terror and destruction has been created. What is important is that it has become mandatory for every Indian to study different religions and understand them. Only by doing this he/she can maintain his/her existence.
