Course Introduction:

यह कलकल... छलछल करती, क्या कहती गंगा की धारा ...

युगयुगसे बहता आया, यह पुण्य प्रवाह हमारा...

The virtuous flow of Indian culture has been flowing since ages. The reason for this is its integral idea. Vyashti, Samashti and Parameshti means this ideology that connects the human, the creation and the universe. The idea of Indian culture is presented to the whole world, not only to Indians. Education is a matter of intellect, but Sanskrit is related to mind, heart, feelings and soul. The arts like music, dance, drama, allegorical story, painting etc. help in nurturing culture. But only art does not mean culture. Creation of culture is a natural and organic process. Different types of people live together at different levels in social life. Everyone's ability is different, thoughts are different and lifestyles are different. But while living together, they have cooperation. Sometimes there is a meeting of ideas, sometimes there is friction. Culture is created by this process. The geographical location of the area, availability of resources, environment, agriculture, land level, all these have an impact on the behaviour and life of the people living there. People who believe in different deities, practice different systems of worship live together. There is an exchange of ideas between them. This creates tradition. Many festivals also help for the continuous carrying of culture. The roots of the culture are strengthened by the rituals. The idea of Dharma, 'what is good for all, is good for me', this principle is the basic foundation of culture. This idea and concept of Indian culture should be understood by every Indian.
